Aaksa Air announces fuel surcharge on domestic and international flights Aksa Air on Saturday ranging from Rs 199 to Rs 1,300 on domestic and international flight tickets booked from March 15, citing a sharp rise in aviation turbine fuel [ATF] prices amid escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. in a post on X, the airline said the surcharge will apply to all bookings made from 00:01 hrs on March 15,2026, and will not be applicable to tickets booked before that time. the airline said the additional charge will be levied per sector and will vary depending on the duration of the flight. Iran urges Muslim world to unite against US and ‘Zionists’ The spokesperson of Iran’s Armed Forces, Brigadier General AboIfazI Shekarchi, has addressed the leaders of Muslim states, calling for unity against the influence of the US and Zionists, according to state broadcaster press TV. In a direct appeal to the leadership of Islamic nations, the Brigadier General stated, “Trust Islamic Republic and its Muslim people, and let us unite for the solidarity of the Islamic world against disbelief, polytheism, and hypocrisy led by the US and the Zionists.” These remarks, carried by press TV, emphasise the General’s call for the United states and the Zionists. This call for regional unity coincides with a significant escalation in military rhetoric.

Iran Israel war India repatriates non- essential crew members of Iranian ship in Kochi :-

India has repatriated the non-essential crew members of an Iranian warship that docked in Kochi on March 4 amid the escalating military conflict between Iran and the US, people familiar with the matter said on Saturday.

Over 50 of the 183 crew members have stayed back as the ship, IRIS Lavan, remains in Kochi, they said. The non- essential sailors left India by a Turkish airline aircraft. The aircraft landed in Kochi late last night after picking up the bodies from Colombo of over 80 Iranian sailors of another warship that was sunk by a US submarine off the coast of Sri Lanka on March 4.

IRIS Lavan has remained in Kochi since March 4. The ship had developed urgent technical issues and was granted emergency docking approval on March 1 following a request from the Iranian side. It is learnt that Iranian sailors of IRIS Lavan will travel to Iran by road from Yerevan Armenia’s capital city.

The repatriation of the crew members safe passage for over two dozen Indian-flagged merchant vessels currently stationed on either side of the strait of Hormuz. Amir Hatami, commander-in chief of the Iranian army, has warned that the killing of 104 crew members from the IRIS Dena, one of the country’s newest warship, in the Indian Ocean upon returning from a military exercise, “will not go unanswered.” “The crew of the Dena destroyer had completed a peaceful mission and were targeted while on their way back to Iran,” he was quoted as saying by Iran’s IRNA news agency, adding that the sailors were attacked despite not being engaged in a direct battle.

“The name of Dena and the sacrifice of its crew will remain a symbol of courage and dedication in Iran’s naval history,” Hatami said. “The army will defend Iran’s maritime borders and strengthen its naval power with even greater determination.”
