According to an advisory from Libya’s maritime rescue agency the Arctic metagaz sank in waters between Libya and Malta after catching fire on Tuesday night . it warned vessels to avoid the site where the carrier sank and asked them to report any pollution in the area .
Ukraine’s SBU state security service has not commented on the allegation and the Libyan port authority said the cause of the fire was unclear the Libyans said the tanker was carrying about 62000 tonnes of LNG before the blasts and that it sank about 130 nautical miles(240) north of the Libyan port of Sirte.

Ukrainian drones damaged Russian civilian sites in the south-western region of Saratov, roman Busgarin . the area’s governor said early on Thursday Saratov airport and other airport in the southern and central regions were closed late on Wednesday and early on Thursday . three injuries were reported.

The Kremlin has accused Kiev of carrying out an “irresponsible” drone attack on an energy facility in southern Russia that supplies gas to Turkey, Agency France-Presse reported. “Last night there was a new attempt to strike a compressor station with drone,” Kremlin spoken man Dmitry Peskov said. He called the pipeline an “international facility” that guarantees Turkey’s energy security”. According to the ministry, 10 drones were shot down over the gas compressor station that ensure gas supply via the Turkey Stream pipeline.
Meanwhile, another Ukrainian attack on Russia’s energy infrastructure was successful. An oil depot in Tikhoretsk in the Krasnodar region caught fire followed a drone attack, regional authorities said on Telegram. The fire engulfed 3800 square meters, authorities said. Ukraine claimed responsibility for the attack on the oil depot in Tikhoretsk. Ukrainian state media, citing sources in the Security Service of Ukraine, confirmed that they were behind the strike. on Jan. 27, Ukraine halted deliveries of energy resources via the Druzhba pipeline to Hungry and Slovakia. In response, Budapest blocked a 90 million euro ($105 million ) credit to Ukraine. The latest incident occurred Wednesday and involved a drone attack on the Russia compressor station in the Krasnodar region, Gazprom said.
The pipeline are among the few remaining routes for Russian pipeline gas exports to Europe after Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022 severed most other export corridors.
